TPM and MWC Seeking Marketing / Communication Intern

Three Point Marketing and Marketing with Class  are looking for a marketing intern to join their collaborative partnership.  The internship is for the fall semester (potential to continue relationship beyond semester). The intern will work closely with the company leadership to implement the company’s strategic marketing initiatives, assist on client projects and assist with other duties, as needed.

Position Description: The Marketing Intern should be a junior or senior in college, seeking a degree in marketing or communications. Candidates must have excellent attention to detail and writing skills as well as a basic understanding of business and marketing. Past internship experience a plus. Because of the company’s size, interns with MWC and TPM will have the opportunity to work closely with leadership and gain exposure to many of the aspects of marketing strategy, planning, implementation and execution.


  • Research information for marketing plans and campaigns
  • Draft content for blog posts, e-newsletters and other marketing materials
  • Developing, editing and managing company social media content
  • Maintain editorial calendar for social media sites
  • Assist executives with creating video, basic editing and posting to YouTube
  • Writing and editing press releases
  • Conduct research and build databases to help build new business pipeline (includes identifying prospective clients and the appropriate contacts)
  • Assisting with various administrative tasks, as assigned

Education: Must be a college junior or senior in marketing or communications

 Hours / Compensation: Stipend available

Hours: 10 – 14 hours per week (flexible)

Job Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and editing skills necessary; blog writing experience a plus
  • Must posses excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written)
  • Should enjoy working in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written, oral and electronic)
  • Experience or demonstrated knowledge of social media helpful
  • Trustworthy and dedicated to work virtually, with little supervision (Must be available for meetings between the hours of 8 am – 5 pm; will work around your schedule)
  • Passion to try new things, without apprehension of failure
  • Should posses a basic knowledge of computer programs such as (training will be provided):
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
    • or other database knowledge a plus
    • Ability to learn WordPress (system to update company blog and websites)
    • Constant Contact (email marketing software)
